The Legacy of Creative Pultrusions, Inc. (CP) began in 1973, when Robert D. Sweet Jr. started Creative Pultrusions in a garage with one pultrusion die and the aid of a tow truck to pultrude the first part. Shortly after the successful production of a prototype dunnage bar for GM, Mr. Sweet officially started Creative with seven employees a 3,000 square foot facility and a purchase order. Mr. Sweet and his employees grew Creative from $250K to $35 million in gross revenue over the course of 35 years. In September of 2008, Creative Pultrusions was acquired by Hill & Smith Holdings PLC of the United Kingdom. H&S is traded on the London Stock exchange and with sales of over $700 million HILL & SMITH HOLDINGS PLC is an international Group with leading positions in the design, manufacture and supply of infrastructure products, galvanizing services and building and construction products to global markets. It serves its customers from facilities principally in the UK, France, USA, Thailand and China.
